So, Medea, what’s that?
It tells the story of Medea, daughter of a king and granddaughter of a god, living as an immigrant in a greek society. Her husband – the heroic Jason – for whom she left her land and home has decided to take a new wife: it is a betrayal she refuses to accept. The form her vengeance takes has made her name echo throughout history. While being a decidedly human and personal story about a marriage falling apart, Medea manages to comment on immigration, alienation, feminism, pride, and the very nature of human love.
