In this lecture, Emilia Modigh will talk about her experience from her fieldwork in the rural village of Zithulele, Eastern Cape, South Africa, regarding mothers’ menstrual health. This will be done in the backdrop of the global development and broader reflections on current menstrual health issues, opportunities and research will be presented. She will also flirt a bit with the SDGs and the aid agencies’ role in all of this and the importance of viewing improvement efforts within the development spectra from a nuanced perspective.
Emilia Modigh is a Sida Alumni lecturer and has conducted a minor field study regarding menstrual health.
