Ateneum Student Association
The student association Ateneum is the natural meeting point for liberal and conservative students at Lund University. Ever since its foundation in 1934, the Ateneum has arranged speaker evenings, sit-ins and protected free debate. The association has a high ceiling with the slogan that arguments are more important than opinions. Ateneum is politically independent and has its own newspaper - Nye Atenaren.
As a member of Ateneum, you will be able to take part in many interesting speaker evenings and meet friends for life. Ateneum is part of the Fria Moderata Studentförbundet, which brings together conservative and liberal students at the majority of Swedish universities. It is a valued feature of our business to be able to go and visit friendship associations and establish contacts with students from other universities.
