Boelspexarna

Boelspexarna

Bye! Boelspexarna is one of the two spectacle committees within the Academic Association. The committee was formed in 1994 when some girls asked themselves, where do all the fun girls go? They wanted to create a play scene for them too and the Boelspexarna was formed. The name is borrowed from Lund University's first female rector, Boel Flodgren. The premiere took place in October and was a complete success. Now the Boelspexarna are a natural part of Lund's large family of spex.
The Boelspexarna involve around 100 students who volunteer their time to do everything from painting sets, applying make-up, sewing clothes, cooking and bartending. The stage is entirely dedicated to girls, but everything else is open to both boys and girls to take part in and get involved in. It all culminates in a performance weekend which, by tradition, is always the third weekend in October. As a student in Lund, you have the opportunity to get involved in the show but also be part of the large show audience.
Tickets can be purchased here at www.biljett.studentlund.se and at Studentinfo in the AF-borgen, Mon-Fri 9-17.
