Bleckhornen

Bleckhornen

AcademiMusicCorpset Bleckhornen is Lund's oldest student orchestra, founded in 1956. The orchestra together with the Ballet Ballet plays and dances to brass music in all genres and in all imaginable and unimaginable contexts. The ambition is to combine good musicality with student-like exuberance. The arrangement is a typical student orchestra arrangement with double reeds and no banjo. We are recognizable by the white clothes and the color combination of white dots on a red background.
The highlight of the year is our Christmas Concert, which is given in the Great Hall of the Academic Association, when we dress up in frock coats and long dresses instead of our otherwise very stylish white uniform. In addition to the Christmas concert, we go to a student orchestra festival in either Linköping or Uppsala in the spring and in the summer we go abroad together.
Bleckhornen disposes of the Tarmen club premises with premises for the board, social gatherings, gatherings and meetings. There is also the notary archive, with more than a thousand arrangements of own and other people's pencils.
We are not a faculty-bound association, but all students at Lund University are welcome in our happy group. We have orchestra rehearsals every Thursday at 18.45, usually in the Chapel Hall at Palæstra et Odeum, and ballet rehearsals every Tuesday at 19.45 at Vårfruskolan.
Bleckhornen's motto is Anything in wind music, Anywhere, Anytime, Anyhow, Anywhere!
Fang!
