Bella Voce
Bella Voce - Lund's student singers is a four-part women's choir that started in 2000 and has been led by Victoria Söderberg since 2014. Through our varied repertoire, which ranges from classical Swedish choral music to folk tunes from all corners of the world and to more familiar popular music elements, Bella Voce has established itself as one of Lund's most colourful choirs. Together, we at Bella Voce are working to drive the women's choir forward and for the women's choir to take a greater place in Lund and in the world.
The choir gives at least one major concert per semester and has recurring features, such as our popular and atmospheric Lucia concerts in Bosebo Church at Kulturen in Lund. In addition, we sing at concerts, weddings and balls, but have also been the tribute choir to Måns Zelmerlöw when SVT celebrated the Eurovision Song Contest victory in 2015 and appeared on stage at the opening of the Lund Comedy Festival 2015. In the spring of 2017, Bella Voce participated for the first time in an international choir competition in Assisi, Italy, and won the gold diploma in the a cappella class with the highest score of all competitors. In spring 2018, it was time for the choir's second competition, this time during the Helsingborg Choir Festival, and again Bella Voce won gold.
We rehearse on Mondays from 18.30-21.00 and are looking for new members for each semester. We have a taster session. Applications are made via the website, please check it out if you are singing or just curious!
