Alte Kamereren
Alte Kamereren is the most spexy student orchestra in Lund, founded in 1964!
We want you in the orchestra if you play brass, woodwind, percussion, banjo or if you like to dance. In the lattermost case you are also qualified to join our ballet, the amazing Kamerérbaletten. In addition to Kamerérbaletten, you are most welcome to stretch your legs and dance in the men's ballet, the trombone ballet or simply while you play music in the orchestra. We just cannot stand still!
Alte Kamreren performs in red, black and medal adorned uniforms at parties, inaugurations, graduations, weddings and balls - whenever pompous and spexy entertainment is desired. When we don’t have gigs, we have rehearsals and parties in our rehearsal space Hålan, which has been in the orchestra's possession since the 70s. Hålan has a very special place in the hearts of every kamerer and is decorated in red and black, and is chock-full of old memories from bygone days.
We are also known outside of Lund through student orchestra festivals, Östersjöfestivalen etc., we are even world-famous in Germany, through which we have our annual ten day long tour each summer.
