Student Ombudsperson
The student representative is a student service of Lund University's Student Union (LUS). This means that the help you receive takes place on your terms and with your interests taken care of.
The student representative supervises and assists the students and the unions with help in their work with student affairs. It can be about incomplete or bad information about courses, questions about examinations and their correction, as well as accusations of cheating or plagiarism. Students are also supported in questions regarding discrimination and the work environment - both the physical and the psychosocial. The service offered by the Student Ombudsman can include everything from information and advice to informal investigations - about what has happened - to acting as a representative or mediator in contact with the university .
It is up to you as a corps or student if you only want to note a problem or choose to move on with it. The student representative never pushes a case forward if this is not desired.
As a student, it is always good to turn to your union in the first place when you have encountered a study-related problem. This as they have a close collaboration and good contacts at both departmental and faculty level.
