Christmas jazz pub and Student evening with Edward Blom
When it comes to traditions, Christianity and food, tonight's guest has it all. Edward Blom is one of Sweden's top multi-taskers, he is known as a writer, archivist, program host and has even competed in Melodifestivalen! Perhaps most importantly of all, also a cultural historian and gastronome!
This evening we will delve into Christmas in general and the associated food in particular. What does Blom's personal Christmas table look like? What are the common sense and etiquette rules you should keep in mind during Christmas? Is it really allowed, if at all, to experiment with a Christmas table? What are some forgotten Christmas traditions? And how many schnapps are you allowed to drink before the kids go to bed?
On December 2nd, Studentafton invites you to the last evening of the semester, a “Christmas Evening”, if you will. The conversation will be preceded by Jazz with our friends from the Spring Term Trio. Then a traditional evening of conversation and the opportunity to ask questions will begin. The evening will be moderated by the chef, program host and Studentafton’s very own Christmas host Dante Zia.
