Jazz evening at Osignat | South Scania Nation

Finally, it's time for some jazz in Sydskånska again. On Friday, Osignat hits big when we run an all-nighter with the Liljesson Quartet!

They will interpret music from the American jazz treasure, where they will feature music from the late jazz legend, Quincy Jones - a tribute to his contribution to culture and music.

Those who will lead us through the evening are our dear quartet, which consists of;

Singer Gillis Liljesson, a new rising star from Växjö. He is an incredible singer with a fantastic range of genres, who is currently studying jazz at Skurup's folk high school.

On drums we have Linus Hansson, a local talent from Malmö who also studies the jazz line at Skurup's folk high school. You have probably seen him play in several places in Malmö, such as Plan B.

We are honored to have Arvid Bärtås playing the piano. Arvid is a natural talent from Växjö who is an experienced freelance jazz musician, who has been on tour all summer with the hit "Sound of Duke".

And last, but certainly not least, we have the fantastic Alexander "Sasja" Nilsson on bass. He is an up and coming bassist from Växjö who is currently studying to become a jazz musician at Malmö Academy of Music. He has been involved in several recordings of new works by up and coming jazz musicians.
