All of Studentlunds nations have housing in their nation houses in the form of corridor rooms and apartments. Living at the nation is a fun and social way to live, especially if you are interested in getting involved in the life of the nation!

The easiest way to get housing varies from nation to nation, but many nations give committed members in the form of workers, foremen and officials priority in their housing queues. Some nations also give novices the opportunity to get priority in the housing queue.

Bopoolen.nu

BoPoolen is a housing agency run by Lund University's Student Unions (LUS). Via the website www.bopoolen.nu, private individuals can advertise for renting apartments, rooms and sofas. It's free to advertise, and BoPool has no queue system or fees.

BoPoolen's goal is to help students at Lund University find housing by helping them find ads from landlords for short or long-term rentals. To ensure the quality of the ads, they are reviewed before publication. Inappropriate ads or unreasonable terms are not accepted. Safety and safe accommodation is a priority for BoPoolen.

Civil registration, housing allowance and home insurance

When you have found somewhere to live, it is important that you register, i.e. register yourself, there. This is so that you can apply for housing allowance, which you can only do in the municipality where you are registered. Change of address takes place via the Tax Agency in the form of a notification of a change in the national register when you move. The Swedish Tax Agency has no such cooperation with any private company and according to law, it is only to the Swedish Tax Agency that you can report a change of address in the population register. Changing the civil registration is done fastest and easiest via the Swedish Tax Agency's e-service on the website. Swedish address change offers a paid service for time-limited forwarding. This service is not mandatory.
